Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lifo website (lifo.sh) and any cloud-hosted services we may offer. The open-source Lifo runtime is licensed separately under the MIT License.

1. Open-Source Software vs Cloud Services

Lifo has two distinct components with separate legal frameworks:

• Open-Source Runtime (@lifo-sh/core) — licensed under the MIT License. You may use, modify, and distribute it freely. See our License page for details.
• Website & Cloud Services (lifo.sh) — governed by these Terms of Service. This includes the website, documentation, hosted demos, and any future cloud-hosted features.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our services to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use our services for illegal activities

3. Intellectual Property

The Lifo name, logo, and website design are proprietary. The open-source runtime code is MIT-licensed. Content you create using Lifo belongs to you.

4. Cloud Services (Future)

If we introduce cloud-hosted services, additional terms will apply including:

• Service level agreements (SLAs)
• Usage limits and billing terms
• Data processing agreements
• Acceptable use policies specific to cloud resources

Cloud service terms will be published separately and will not affect your rights under the MIT License for the open-source runtime.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lifo and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
